Gordon Ip
The principal of Genesis Real Estate Group, was born in Hong Kong. His family has been involved in real estate investment and development for four generations. Mr. Ip attended the prestigious Diocesan Boys’ School of Hong Kong, and complete high school at The Choate School in Connecticut. He received his Bachelor of Business Administration degree from the University of Michigan, a Master of Real Estate Studies and a Master of Business Administration from Southern Methodist University. In the last 35 years, he has developed multifamily properties with institutional partners ranging wood-frame developments in the suburbs of Orlando, Phoenix, Tulsa, Albuquerque, Jacksonville, to urban high-rises in San Francisco, Houston, Long Beach and Dallas.

Nathan Ip
Born in Dallas, a 12 year Marksman at St. Marks School, Dallas, a business graduate of Boston University, an investment banker at JP Morgan NY, Nathan has found that an apple does not fall far from the tree and has now been with Genesis for over seven years. His exceptional attention to detail, and a fine balance of left and right brain acumen allowed him to make his mark when developing The Katy at Victory Park. The property, a 30 story tower with 463 units was awarded by the Dallas Business Journal the Best Urban Multifamily Development in Dallas 2019.

Phil Roesel
Growing up, Phil worked in construction with his family as a general contractor and a MEP sub-contractor covering multi states and private and government contracts. After spreading his wings and becoming a veteran of four tours in Afghanistan (Thank you for serving), Phil progressed to project management by building many complicated high-rise urban multifamily buildings in Atlanta and College Station. He has leveraged his skills both from childhood, the military, and as project manager, and has a proven track record and more importantly earned a high degree of respect in the construction industry. Additionally he has a unique familiarity with concrete tunnel-forming, which is a distinctive building technique that Genesis utilizes that requires sophisticated planning and jobsite execution.

Gloria Karmele
Born in the Philippines, raised in Dallas, Gloria has been working with the principal of Genesis since 1983. From property management accounting, to construction draws, and many additional areas of finance, Gloria executes her role with exceptional high standards by drawing from 38 years of experience interfacing with counterparts in companies like JP Morgan, Bank of Ozarks, Bank of America, to JV partners the likes of PGIM, Invesco, and other private investors.

Developer
Koray Sevilmis
Koray’s professional career spans 30 years and has involved construction, international trade, and real estate development. After his architectural studies, he began his career as a superintendent in Istanbul before moving to Dallas to oversee the development, budgeting, and management of numerous multi-family high-rise projects. Koray joined Genesis Real Estate Group in 2017 and has since overseen successful and trend-setting developments such as The Katy project in Dallas, Texas. He is an integral part of design and coordination from preliminary designs to the finished product. Koray is accredited as a tunnel form construction system expert in the United States.
